ABT Day Twenty-One

Today was a "late" starting day as Amanda did not have conditioning class. So it was off to ABT with a day of technique, pointe, choreography and rep. They are working very hard on their pieces and Amanda had to fill in for a girl that was sick. As a result, she was on pointe more than usual today and her feet are a little sore!

While Amanda was walking down a hall at ABT today, she was surprised to see someone pass her walking in the opposite direction-- it was Paloma Herrera! Then, Paloma Herrera went into Amanda's level class and observed for a while. I think all the students were pretty excited to have her watching their class!

While Amanda was in class, I decided to go back to 5th Avenue to do a little window shopping. I exited the subway near Central Park South and saw a very pretty part of the park, complete with a little lake. It was also interesting as I made my way to 5th Avenue, I saw several horse drawn carriages transporting visitors near the park.

Soon, I saw the Plaza Hotel (the picture with the flags in front), which was very beautiful! It reminded me that a day or two ago, several of the ABT girls (and moms) were very excited because they had seen both Pierce Brosnan and Robert Pattinson leaving the hotel!

We went back to Shake Shack right after Amanda got out of classes to pick up something to eat! There was quite a line, but we didn't mind waiting. There was also some sort of a cooking festival going on in Madison Square Park, where Shake Shack is located. It was a very pretty day and we were happy to be outside enjoying the nice weather.
